DALAMAN CAR HIRE - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Driver Qualifications and Age Limits To hire a standard vehicle from our fleet, the primary driver needs to be 25 years of age or older, possessing a valid driving license for no less than two years. For those wishing to drive our minibuses or premium (luxury) models, the minimum age threshold is strictly set to 28 years.

Rental Periods and Late Returns The shortest possible booking duration is a single day (24-hour period). While we offer a brief grace period, returning the car more than 3 hours past your designated drop-off time will automatically result in an additional full-day rental charge.

Mileage Policy Clients booking for 7 days or longer will benefit from fully unlimited mileage. For shorter hires spanning between 1 and 6 days, we provide a generous allowance of 275 kilometers per day. Any distance driven beyond this limit incurs a minor surcharge of 10 TL for each extra kilometer. Please note that long-term monthly hires have a strict maximum cap of 3,500 kilometers per month.

Secondary Drivers Planning to split the driving duties? All secondary drivers must be formally added to the rental contract prior to taking the wheel. We gladly include your first supplementary driver at absolutely no extra cost. Should you need to register a second or third person, our standard extra driver fee (as detailed on our pricing page) will be applied.

Fuel Guidelines We typically deliver our cars with a quarter (1/4) tank of fuel. We simply ask that you return the vehicle with an equivalent fuel level. If you bring the car back containing more fuel than it had at handover, we will happily reimburse you the monetary difference for the surplus fuel.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Services To seamlessly accommodate your flight schedules, we provide round-the-clock (24/7) vehicle collection and delivery at Dalaman, Antalya, Izmir, and Istanbul Airports. For our local holiday hubs—such as Fethiye, Marmaris, Gocek, Dalyan, Sarigerme, Oludeniz, Calis, Kalkan, Kas, Hisaronu, and Uzumlu—our delivery and return services are fully operational daily from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM.

One-Way Car Rentals You are welcome to collect your vehicle in one location and leave it in a different city. However, a "drop-off charge" (one-way fee) will be applied to cover the logistical expenses of relocating the car back to its base. Our online booking system automatically calculates this surcharge based on the total distance between your selected pick-up and drop-off locations.

Pricing: Inclusions and Exclusions

  • Included in the Price: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) subject to a deductible (excess), compulsory third-party liability insurance, VAT and municipal taxes, standard vehicle maintenance, 24-hour roadside assistance, and protection against theft and fire (valid only when official police or fire reports are obtained).

  • Not Included in the Price: Fuel consumption, parking tickets, toll roads and bridges (such as the Eurasia Tunnel or HGS systems), traffic penalties, one-way relocation fees, and optional add-ons including GPS units, child/baby seats, or upgraded insurance packages.

Payment Methods and Security Hold Reservations can be securely arranged via our website, over the telephone, or through email. The complete rental amount is payable at the time of vehicle handover. We accept cash (in Turkish Lira or major foreign currencies) as well as credit cards. (Please note that credit card transactions may be subject to a 4% bank processing commission).

  • Security Deposit (Pre-authorization): Upon collection, the primary driver must present a physical Visa or MasterCard in their own name. A temporary block ranging from 4,000 TL to 8,000 TL (depending on the vehicle class) will be placed on the card. This is a security hold, not a direct charge, intended to cover potential traffic fines or uninsured damages. Assuming no outstanding issues, your bank will automatically lift this hold within 20 to 25 business days.

Modifications, Cancellations, and Early Drop-Offs We understand that travel itineraries can unexpectedly change. Cancellations made 24 hours or more prior to your scheduled pick-up time are completely free of charge. For late cancellations (under 24 hours' notice) or if you choose to return the vehicle prior to your agreed contract end date, we will retain the equivalent of a one-day rental fee and immediately refund the remaining balance of your payment.

Vehicle Assignment and Upgrades We make every effort to supply the exact make and model you requested, or a closely matched alternative within the same category. In the rare event that your selected vehicle group is unavailable, we will automatically upgrade your booking to a higher-tier vehicle at no additional cost to you.

Driving Limits and Speed Regulations Driving our rental vehicles across Turkey’s international borders is strictly forbidden. For a safe journey, please observe the national speed restrictions:

  • City/Urban zones: 50 km/h (may be reduced to 30 km/h in school zones).

  • Standard two-lane intercity roads: 90 km/h (80 km/h for vans and minibuses).

  • Divided highways: 110 km/h (95 km/h for vans and minibuses).

  • Expressways/Motorways: 120 km/h (100 km/h for vans and minibuses).

INSURANCE COVERAGE AND ACCIDENT PROTOCOLS

All vehicles in our fleet are equipped with mandatory traffic insurance and a standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) that includes a deductible (excess). However, to keep these policies active, strict adherence to the rental agreement is required.

Situations Invalidating Your Insurance (Full Renter Liability): The renter assumes total financial responsibility—meaning all insurance policies are nullified—in the following scenarios:

  • Theft and Fire: In the event of vehicle theft, you must immediately hand over the original keys and car registration documents to our office. For fire damage, an official report from the fire brigade is compulsory. Failure to produce these items renders you personally accountable for the vehicle's full market value.

  • Excluded Components: Basic CDW does not protect against damages sustained to the undercarriage, auto glass, tires, or headlights.

  • Driver Negligence: You will bear full financial responsibility for repair costs if you misfuel the vehicle (e.g., pumping petrol instead of diesel), or if the car keys are lost, damaged, or dropped into water.

  • Intoxication: Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or narcotics immediately voids all insurance protections. The renter assumes 100% liability for all physical, moral, and commercial losses concerning our vehicle and any affected third parties.

  • Unregistered Drivers: If an accident occurs while an unlisted driver is at the wheel, the primary contract holder assumes all legal and financial liabilities.

  • Off-Road Driving: Our cars are intended solely for paved highways and well-maintained asphalt roads. Taking the vehicle off-road or driving on dirt tracks is strictly prohibited and entirely invalidates all insurance coverages.

Supplemental Protection Upgrades For ultimate peace of mind during your trip, you may purchase the following add-on coverages at the rental desk:

  • Minor Damage Waiver: Protects against small parking dents and scratches up to 2,000 TL without the need for an official police report.

  • Tire, Glass, and Headlight Protection: Specifically insures the vulnerable parts of the car (tires, windshields, side windows, and headlamps) that are excluded from basic CDW.

  • Premium Protection (Zero Excess / Super CDW): Standard CDW carries a renter "excess" (deductible) ranging between €700 and €1000, depending on the vehicle group. Upgrading to this premium package completely eliminates your financial liability for this deductible. As an added benefit, it automatically incorporates both the Minor Damage and Tire/Glass/Headlight protections.

Accident Procedures: What You Need to Do In the event of a collision, please remain calm and do not move the vehicles from the point of impact. Capture clear photographs of the scene from all four sides and contact our customer support team right away.

  • Minor Mutual Accidents: If it is a two-vehicle collision involving only material damage and both parties agree on fault, you can jointly complete and sign the "Accident Report Form" located in the glove box.

  • Police Involvement Required: If the accident involves a single vehicle, injuries, parked car damage, or if the drivers cannot agree on fault, contacting the local police or gendarmerie is legally mandatory. You must secure an official traffic accident report alongside a breathalyzer (alcohol) test result.

  • Claims Process: To successfully process your insurance claim, you must submit the following documents to us within 48 hours: copies of the involved drivers' licenses and vehicle registrations, insurance policies, breathalyzer test reports, scene photographs, and (for foreign visitors) passport entry stamps. Our staff will assist you step-by-step through this procedure.

Traffic Violations and Penalties Any driving infractions committed during your hire period (such as speeding tickets, illegal parking fines, or unpaid toll evasions) are your sole responsibility. Since authorities typically forward these citations to our headquarters after your rental concludes, we will automatically deduct the fine amount from the credit card used for your pre-authorization deposit. We will always ensure you are notified of this transaction via email or telephone.
